ALLAMUCHY-GREEN FIRST AID SQUAD

The Squad was established in 1971. We were first located in a one care garage located on Allamuchy-Johnsonburg Road in Allamuchy Township. Our next location was a two-car garage located behind The Still restaurant on Route 517 in Green Township. Around 1980, we purchased land on Maple Lane, Green Township and built our present Station 1. In 2008, an addition was made to the Allamuchy Township Fire Department which included a substation, Station #2, for the Squad and houses a third Ambulance, located on Alphano Road in Allamuchy Township. We meet on Tuesday nights for drills, rig checks, meetings and clean-ups. We cover Allamuchy Township, which includes an 8-mile stretch of Interstate 80, Green Township and a portion of Frelinghuysen Township, for a total of 48 square miles and approximately 9,200 residents. All members are certified by the NJ Department of Health and the NJ First Aid Council. Required training includes a Basic EMT Course, CPR, CEVO, and other courses mandated by the State. We currently have 3 ambulances and a first responder vehicle. We are one of the last 100% volunteer, non-billing EMS agencies around the area!
